I know there are so many different parts of the world that are in desperate need of help. Whenever I see anyone helping and finding a way to bless another person's life it brings me joy. God smiles over the ones that give it their best to help others in need. Regardless of who helps where it's all important and makes a difference. Big or small.
That being said, I've noticed something recently. That Eastern Europe orphans with special needs are so very very overlooked and forgotten. I guess I never really realized it sooner because on my social media I have surrounded myself with incredibly wonderful people that are very well aware of the crisis in Europe, specifically Ukraine. A good amount of my Facebook friends are either adoptive parents or advocating for orphans. Therefor I guess I never noticed that outside that little world of mine, no one else talks about the orphan crisis or if they do, they don't appear to helping change it in anyway.
I was discussing this topic with my mom and just expressing how I really don't understand how so many people can overlook so many hurting and lonely kids. Then she told me something I honestly hadn't thought about before. Because I've been advocating for orphans since age 14 or so it never occurred to me how exactly the rest of the world was suppose to discover what I've known for such a long time.
How can someone have the desire to change something if they don't know about or just how bad the situation is? They can't.
I take the way these kids living situations are to heart. I advocate for two wonderfully beautiful orphans with special needs. Mick and Faith Anne are two children that are located in Eastern Europe and live in places like the ones I'm about to show you. I greatly encourage you to watch this documentary. It's going to show you the truth of what these children live in.
It's not going to be the easiest thing to watch. And you probably won't like what you see. It's going to break your heart. But hear this. Don't cut the video off, shut your computer or phone down, keep watching. BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD. We are these kids only hope and way out. If you don't help, then who? This isn't made up. It's REAL LIFE for these kids. The good news is that YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE it.
